The kidlets hated this month’s book. I eventually gave up trying to force them to listen to the stories that obviously held no appeal to them.
So to keep the theme alive this month, I made a few fun lunches. Here’s one following the pig theme of the folktale “How Old Jackal got the Pigs”.
Cheese sandwich cut into a circle with a cookie cutter, circle edible wafer paper with a nose drawn on it in edible ink marker and candied eyes.
Next month’s theme is “The Great Outdoors” and we’ll be reading, Treasure Island, an adaptation of the Robert Louis Stevenson original.
