Today was our first day of Grade 2. It went very well, Noo was very receptive to the new routine and loved working on his new worksheets and in the new workbooks. I hope the enthusiasm for his school work continues, LOL.

First we started with our bible study, Prayer is WOW

and then he read to Fifi in her bedroom ♥

After completing his grammar and Afrikaans worksheets, he made a snake mobile (he didn’t want to do this, he wanted to work on “real” school work, LOL)

During lessons Koko fell asleep on the floor

Noo especially loved his maths lessons, in particular the lesson involving measurement. We took a newspaper and stuck them together and then I traced around Noo and Koko and cut out their “shadows”. The boys, especially Koko, loved lying on them. LOL. Noo then had to measure the length, shoulder width, waist width, arm length and leg length with both his hands and feet. This was a fun learning activity.

I put Fifi in her high chair during this maths lesson as she interfered, LOL

After lessons, as celebration of the new school year, we watched “Ice Age 3, Dawn of the Dinosours”. The boys love this movie.
