Free Creative Writing Prompts: Community Helpers from Free Homeschool Deals

It’s so important for kids to continue writing and reading during the summer. Children can loose 30% of what they learned in the previous grade unless their parents are actively helping children practice to keep these skills fresh. I created these creative writing prompts to help parents and homeschoolers easily incorporate writing into their summers.

All of the printables that you will need to make this lapbook are listed here on this page. We used the book Going to the Doctor by Anne Civardi as the basis for our learning, but there are other great books that can be used also.

Your preschooler will have fun learning and practicing basic skills such as identifying color names, sequencing from little to big, shadow matching, summarizing a story, writing their name, learning astronaut words, learning a Bible verse, identifying upper and lower case M’s, tracing and/or cutting on a line, coloring and practicing beginning letter sounds, and more!
