Happy Monday friends. This week’s printable spotlight brings the Christmas story to our learning table with the Nativity 2 Kindergarten Activity Pack. Baby Jesus, lambs and angels appear throughout this collection of early literacy, maths and picture activities for your little learners.

The lamb colour mini-book is a lovely place to begin, with angel counting from 1 to 10 ready for your next activity. There are shapes to trace and a Nativity picture to colour, giving your little learner a mix of colouring and pencil practice.

B is for Baby Jesus introduces uppercase B and lowercase b through do-a-dot, recognition and writing activities. Alphabet tracing, letter-to-picture matching and number writing extend the practice, while the name booklet includes letter pieces to arrange.

Matching cards, shadows and picture patterns bring in some hands-on thinking. Number-strip puzzles cover 1 to 30, and the 16- and 25-piece jigsaws offer two picture-building challenges. Counting charts to 50 and 100 and scissor-skills pages give you further activities to choose from.

The repeated B activities offer several ways to recognise and form the letter: dabbing, tracing, looking for it among other letters and writing on lines. Some practice pages also use familiar B words, giving children more than one example of the letter in use.

Angel counting connects number words with groups of pictures, while puzzles and shadow matching encourage careful observation. You can name the Nativity characters as you work and use the images to support a conversation about the Christmas story.

Select a short letter task and follow it with a matching game or jigsaw. If you are sharing a Nativity story from another source, the character pictures can become a prompt for discussing who appears in it; a separate story text is not needed to enjoy the printed skill activities.

Follow the preparation directions for mini-books, cardstock and reusable cards. Support cutting and choose between the puzzle sizes to suit your learner. The pack can be used across several sessions instead of as a single long lesson.
