Its been a long time since I’ve blogged. Since Pixie was born, I haven’t had much time for anything other than schooling, mothering, being a wife and housewife all at the same time. It’s been a long and hard journey getting used to having 4 children, with one being a very demanding baby. That being said, I wouldn’t change it for the world π Here are updates for each of the kidlets.
Noo
Noo is now wearing glasses for reading. It turns out he is horribly near sighted. He looks very dashing with his new glasses.
He recently wrote his first official Clonard Distance Education exams, we are anxiously awaiting the results. Grade 4 is going well, though we seem to be going through a rough patch with his behaviour. He is due to go for a behavioural assessment in October.
Koko
Koko is growing like a week. His intelligence astounds me daily. Because he was such a later talker, I was worried that he would struggle with school, that is most definitely not the case. We are using this “curriculum” for him this year and he is practically finished with the books already! Each of the Carol Vorderman books comes with its own certificate for when its completed. He loves seeing his progression on these every day.
I’ve ordered his Gr R (Reception), South Afica’s version of Kindergarten, curriculum and we are now anxiously awaiting its arrival.
Fifi
Fifi has become a real little lady, painfully so in fact. She has started taking part in gross motor skills activities while the boys play soccer and watching her is really entertaining. She even runs like a little girl, floppy wrists and all, LOL. She is also really enjoying Tot school right now. We are currently working on princess sticker books that focus on fine motor control.
Pixie
Pixie recently celebrated her first birthday. I can’t believe it’s been a year already. She is becoming her own little person who is quite mobile now. She isn’t walking yet, but it won’t be long. She officially got her first tot trays this week and is loving it (keep an eye out for that post early next week).
She recently got to meet my gran, her great gran. She didn’t leave Granny’s site her whole birthday. They are in love β₯
