In every job that must be done, there’s an element of fun ~ Mary Poppins
The kidlets, Fifi especially, have really enjoyed this month’s Poppins Book Nook theme of Princesses, Knights and Castles. I tried to incorporate something of each portion of the theme into the activities.
We started off with reading our book, Princess Petunia and the Good Knight. Once we had finished the story and discussed the morals, Koko found all the words he could sound out on a few pages.
They spent a few days working on their new workbooks (resources below)
We watched a few Disney Princess movies, built our Princess Fairy Tale floor puzzle together, played with our Castle Logix and Fifi spent hours playing with her Magnetic Paper Doll Princess.
Resources:
Their workbooks comprise the following printables:
Princess TotPack: 1+1+1=1
Princess Preschool Pack: 1+1+1=1
P is for Princess: Confessions of a Homeschooler
Knights Preschool Pack: Homeschool Creations
Medieval Pack: 3Dinosours
Additional Activities:
Princess Fairy Tale Floor puzzle: ToysRus
Castle Logics: Loot.co.za
Paper Doll Princesses – I can’t find the link for the printables I used, but this will work just as well. I made ours onto magnetic paper dolls: Princess Coloring Pages
