I am exceptionally happy with Noo’s progress over the last week. His reading has improved 10 fold as well as his over attitude towards his work.
This week I also managed to sort out our book shelf. Some of Noo’s “school” books are on the top shelf as well as Koko’s puzzles and some craft supplies that need to be sorted and repacked into the craft drawer.Β Our reading and story books are on the second shelf and our files are on the bottom shelf with the Practica activities.
It’s international astronomy year, so on Thursday I contacted Sivuyile Manxoyi (sivuyile@saao.ac.za) fromΒ The South African Astronomical Observatory in Cape Town to get some information from them and the he said he will mail brochures, posters, an Astro CD and hands on activities that they do at the observatory to me today FREE of charge. I’m thrilled, can you tell. Now I’ll have allot of information straight from the source, so to speak, when we do the solar and star systems.
