Christmas is fast approaching! I can hardly believe that we are already at the end of 2022. What a roller coaster ride the last few years have been. To celebrate the festive season, I’ve created these FREE early education mini packs. These will remain free on Monsters Ed forever!

Each mini pack includes the following festive activities:
Complete the pattern

Do-a-Dot letter activity (can be completed with either do-a-dot markers, pompoms or stickers)

Number recognition peg activity

Name recognition concertina book

Colour matching cards

I like to make up the mini packs in a file folder. This keeps the activities together and the file folder fits into a large envelope, which is easy to store.

Pixie has had fun with this nursery rhyme. We have been signing it all the time and she has even started, sorta, singing it herself.

She started her star off with crayons, but didn’t seem to be enjoying it too much, so I gave her the left over paints from the big kidlets.

She was having so much fun, I gave her the template I used to make the paper plate stars to paint another one. She had so much fun, the star tore as I picked it up. I placed it onto a paper plate to hang it up to dry. No glue required, LOL.

Note to self, don’t let her paint with poster paint on the high chair. Poster paint does not come off plastic *sigh*

Totschool: DIY Fine Motor Skills

Pixie is 17.5 months old

Pixie is a very demanding toddler and I often find it difficult to get anything done. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only momma who sometimes struggles to keep a demanding toddler busy when you want to cook, clean or just drink a hot cup of coffee.

I came across THIS on Pinterest and thought I’d give it a bash and see if Pixie likes it.

What you need:
Small feta cheese container, cleaned and dried
Mini pompoms (I started off with 10 and now we have about 80 all together for this activity),
Scissors and patience.
Directions:
Cut a few holes into the lid of the feta container big enough to push the pompoms through.
Pop the lid back on and show said toddler how to push them through and viola!

Happy toddler content with keeping herself busy 🙂 Pixie has been at it for over an hour now 🙂 I just keep taking the pompoms out of the container for her. She is sitting on the floor next to me right now as content as can be 🙂

I didn’t get many pics of Fifi this week Here are a few I managed to snap while the boys were busy with lessons this week.

Fifi just loves this peg board, it keeps her busy for an hour or more.

This week she discovered the chalk board and chalk. She loves drawing and this is the perfect way to distract her and as an added bonus, if she decides to draw on anything else, it just wipes off with a wet cloth (or goes in the washing machine)
